Drought conditions continue

Dark red areas indicate "exceptional" drought conditions, the worst possible. Red areas indicate extreme conditions and orange areas indicate sever drought conditions. Information and graphics provided by the U.S. Drought Monitor.

The latest report from the United States Drought Monitor shows that despite recent precipitation this month, all of Oklahoma remains under sever drought. The LeFlore County area is listed as under extreme drought conditions.
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of the state has been drought conditions since last May.
Reports show that drought conditions are expected to persist or intensify until spring rains bring relief.
