Drug raid at local restaurant

June 26, 2012

Diners at a local restaurant encountered a temporary delay in food service Sunday morning after a narcotics search warrant was served at the establishment. Sources say agents with District 16 Drug Task Force along with the assistance of Poteau Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Shady Point Police Department K9’s unit swarmed Los 3 Amigos located at 2811 N. Broadway in Poteau at approximately noon on Sunday.
Two people were arrested and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamines
located inside the restaurant was seized by
agents. Luis Martinez-Ayalla, 29, of Poteau, and David Martinez–Martinez, 23, of Howe, are both being held on charges of delivery of a
controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Both suspects appeared in district court Monday afternoon in front of Special Judge Jeff Singer for an initial appearance and bond hearing. Martinez-Ayalla’s bond was set at $15,000 and
Martinez-Martinez’s bond was set at $10,000. PDN was unable to confirm if the two arrested were employees or part owners in the restaurant but sources say they believe they were part owners. According to the business license, Juan P. Martinez, of Martinez Inc., is the registered owner and
holder of the establishment’s beer license.
