FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — If the Arkansas Razorbacks were going to upset the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday afternoon at Franks Broyles Field at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, one thing they couldn't afford to do was to get down early, which is exactly what the Hogs did. The Tide built a 24-0 halftime lead and never looked back rolling the Tyler Wilson-less Hogs 52-0.
“I really don't know what to say,” said John L. Smith, Arkansas' coach. “I didn't know what to say to our team as well. It's kind of hard to say anything at this point. But again, that's about as bad as I can remember a football team."
The question for all Hog fans is can Tyler Wilson rally the troops next week against Rutgers?
“I am going to everything in my power to be a part of it, to be the starting quarterback and run out there on that field and get a win," the Arkansas injured starting quarterback said.
That is what the program desperately needs. A win this week would cure a bunch of Saturday's woes.
