Easter egg hunt planned at Heavener Runestone Park

March 27, 2013

Veterans are hosting an Easter egg hunt at Heavener Runestone Park at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 784 and volunteers will hold a Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Heavener Runestone Park at 11 a.m. Saturday.
More than 4,800 plastic eggs filled with candy will be placed in four separate areas. The area ages are for children 3 and younger, 4 to 8, 9 to 12, and a special area for physically handicapped children.
Parents are reminded that mixed in with the candy eggs are special prize eggs that have a numbered ticket. Parents should be sure to check all the eggs before leaving Heavener Runestone Park and claim the prize the day of the hunt.
Prizes include age-appropriate boy's and girl's bikes, ball and bat kits, stuffed animals and smaller prizes. VVA Chapter 784 will provide hotdogs and soft drinks after the egg hunt.
