Editor's blog: Day 11

November 28, 2011

Sorry I haven't blogged in a couple of days, I have been too sick to even think about it. It has made for several miserable days. On the upside, it also means I have been too sick to smoke! And I mean zip, nada, zilch! I have such a horrible cough and was so achy with fever I didn't really even have a craving to smoke. So while I had been doing decent with a couple of drags here and a couple of drags there when I just felt like I couldn't take it any more which meant I was down to two or less per day. As of Friday morning at 11 ish I haven't so much as looked at a cigerette! I'm feeling better today, so I'm at work, and we all know work is a trigger for me, but I haven't wanted one yet. At least not really bad, I do have a dum-dum in my mouth right now but I'm not having to really fight an urge! So yeah me! I'm super excited to have been COMPLETELY smoke free all weekend. Even if it was because I was so sick. Ready to get past a Monday completely smoke free as well.
I guess that's my advice for the day, don't get down on yourself! Keep your goal in mind and keep working towards it. You didn't start a pack and a half a day habit in one day so you may not be able to quit in one day. It took me 8 days to be completely smoke free! But I didn't give up on quitting and I kept working at it. I know staying completely smoke free for 21 days is going to be hard, but I know I can do it because I'm not giving up! If I can do it anyone can, so if you are reading this and trying to quit or thinking about quitting you can too! My number is 479-926-0722 if you need to text!

Today is Peggy's first day of work at PDN. She's right there in the office with you and she's a super smoke free coach. She's helped many people stop smoking and lead a healthier lifestyle. She was a die-hard (literally) smoker when I met her. I watched her go through the transformation. As a matter of fact, she worked for me when she quit smoking. (LOL) Talk about stress in the work place! Seriously, I'm very proud of her. Smoking isn't good for anybody except the tobacco companies. Give yourself the gift of a healthier life. You will be amazed at the $$ you'll save. Here's to a healthier you.
