Education rally underway in OK City

March 31, 2014

An education rally being held today [March 31] in OK City is underway and many area educators, parents and students are at the Capitol in support.
Those in attendance at the rally hope their voice helps bring more funding for Oklahoma education.
Poteau Schools are closed today to accommodate the many from the school district who planned to attend.
Gov. Mary Fallin said last week she plans to seek a $50 million increase in education funding regardless of the current $190 million budget shortfall.
