Emergency crews kept busy Friday

LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services and the Poteau Fire Department responded to the emergency call of a 53-year-old man who was injured when he fell off a ladder at a home on Cavanal, according to dispatch information.
Emergency responders said a landing zone was set up for the arrival of a Tulsa Life Flight medical helicopter that took the man to a Tulsa hospital to be treated for fractures to his legs.
The helicopter that responded to the Poteau injured man was from Tulsa. According to emergency responders, the Poteau-based helicopter had been called to a motorcycle accident on Talimena Drive about an hour earlier.
