Emergency Expo to be held in September

The Eastern Oklahoma Emergency Preparedness Expo is planned for Sept. 21 on the campuses of Carl Albert State College and Kiamichi Technology Center.
The LeFlore County Local Emergency Planning Committee, LeFlore County Office of Emergency Management and LeFlore County Medical Reserve Corps are co-sponsoring the event.
The annual event offers information to the general public, plus demonstrations and displays of a wide array of emergency and disaster response assets and skills competitions for first responders.
The expo features free activities, games, and arts-and-crafts for children and a variety of personal health, preparedness and safety related activities. Demonstrations and static displays feature an array of emergency and disaster response assets.
The expo will include a health and safety fair with tables, exhibits and displays various topics and a free health screening area.
A 5k run will kick off the activities, beginning and ending on the CASC Campus.
