EOMC celebrates twins

August 16, 2010 marks the birth of the first set of twins to be born at the new EOMC Childbirth Place. Dr. Jamison Alexander delivered the twins with the assistance of Dr. Patrick Martin. Jadden Thomas Johnson weighed in at 4 lbs 5 oz and Hadden Wayne Johnson at 4 lbs 15 oz. The proud parents of the Johnson twins are Billy and Debra Johnson of Poteau.
After two weeks of exceptional care from the EOMC nursery staff, their parents, and their physician, Dr. Shane Ashford, Jadden and Hadden were able to go home on August 31, 2010. Dr. Ashford and the EOMC Nursery staff wish them all the very best.
Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center is licensed to operate 82 acute care beds and has an average daily census of 28 patients. The LeFlore County Commissioners appoint the Board of Trustees to the Hospital Authority. Members of the Board of Trustees are G.R. (Rod) Fulsom, Chairman, Page, OK; Wayne Hoffman, Treasurer, Cameron, OK; Aud Balentine, Secretary, Wister, OK; Jim Linville, Member, Spiro, OK; Mary Helen Lucas, Member, Poteau, OK; and Mike Andrews, Member, Heavener, OK. Mr. Dean Warren serves as legal counsel to the board of Trustees.
