EOMC welcomes new doctor to staff

EOMC welcomes new surgeon, Dr. Doug Dukes, D.O.

A new physician is joining the team at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau.
The board of trustees of the LeFlore County Hospital Authority unanimously agreed to enter into contract with Dr. Doug Duke, D.O., during its regular meeting Tuesday afternoon.
Duke received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, and then attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Mo., where he obtained his graduate degree. Duke relocated to Oklahoma and completed his residency at the Oklahoma State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. Duke is practicing medicine as a member of the Sparks Surgical Associates of Fort Smith. He specializes in appendectomies, gall bladder removal, complex hernia repair, gastrointestinal correction, breast surgery and wound care. Duke is expected to join the surgical team at EOMC on April 1.
