Family recovering after wreck

Kristin Reed,4,has been released from the hospital after being admitted in critical condition.

A young child injured last week in an automobile accident near Long Lake Resort has been released from the hospital.
Johnny Reed, 32, and Kristin Reed, 4, both of Waldron, were severely injured when the truck they were driving collided with the bed of a truck turning into Long Lake Resort.
According to the report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Kristin was thrown approximately 50 feet from the vehicle. She was flown to Children's Hospital in Little Rock Ar., and listed in critical condition. Sources say she was released Monday.
Johnny Reed, according to witnesses at the scene, suffered a cut throat on the windshield. Sources say Reed is recovering in the hospital after receiving more than 90 stitches. He has been kept in an induced coma to reduce movement and potential damage to his stitches. Four other passengers in the vehicle were treated and released from local hospitals.
The driver of the vehicle Reed struck, Dan Pilkington, 38, of Poteau and his passengers where uninjured in the accident.
