Fill the boot!

This past weekend, area firefighters were out and about on Dewey Avenue in Poteau for their annual “Fill the Boot” campaign in order to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on behalf of the LeFlore County Firefighter's Association. In four hours, 13 local firemen and three of their children collected $6,551 despite one counterfeit twenty dollar bill. The LeFlore County Firefighter's Association is one of the top contributers in the state for MDA and Jerry's Kids.
