Football playoff games canceled until next week; Poteau's state title game Dec. 14 at OSU; Talihina's semifinal contest Dec. 13 at Durant

Here are the latest Bluebeard and Blackbeard Award winners for Saturday's state semifinal win over Oklahoma City Douglass. Both the Poteau Pirates and the Talihina Golden Tigers will have to wait a while longer before hitting the gridiron — at least in a game situation.
The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association announced Wednesday afternoon that all high school football playoff games scheduled for the end of this week are going to be canceled and rescheduled for the following week due to the incoming wintry weather — expected to hit Thursday night.
The Pirates' Class 4A state title game against No. 1 Anadarko will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at Oklahoma State University's Boone Pickens Stadium. The game was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at OSU.
The Golden Tigers' Class A state semifinal contest against No. 1 Ringling, which was slated for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Southeastern Oklahoma State University's Paul Laird Field, has now been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at the same place.
