Former CASC basketball player facing Arkansas tonight

December 20, 2011

Former Carl Albert State College Vikings basketball player Jaron Jones, now playing at Eastern Kentucky University of the Ohio Valley Conference, will be coming pretty close to home tonight.
Jones and his Colonel teammates will play the Arkansas Razorbacks at 7 p.m. tonight at Barnhill Arena.
The Colonels are 7-5 overall, and Jones is a major reason why. He is leading his team in scoring, 13.3 points per game, is shooting 55.9 percent from the field, 42.1 percent from 3-point range and is hitting 74.5 percent of his free throws.
Jones is averaging 2.6 rebounds per game, and in 12 games this season has recorded 18 steals, 14 assists and four blocked shots.
