Jeff Tadtman, Carl Albert State College women's basketball coach, would like to announce Rikki Wolfe as the new women's assistant coach.
In 2006-07 her senior year at Schulter High School, Rikki averaged 22.3 points per game, which ranked third in the state. Wolfe played her freshman season of junior college basketball at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. Then she transferred and played her sophomore season for CASC.
“Last season, I was the assistant girls coach at Depew,” Wolfe said. “It was a temporary job, and it didn't workout. I kept up with Coach Tadtman over the years, and I got in touch with him. He let me know that the assistant coaching position was open. I told him that I was very interested, and he told me that he would help me what he could — and that I would need to go through the interview process."
Keeping in touch paid off for both Tadtman and Wolfe.
"I stayed in touch with her after she left CASC, and I followed her career, schooling and first job,” Tadtman said. “The opportunity arose, and I was excited to ask her if she was interested in the job. Things just fell into place."
