Freida Elizabeth Baird, 92, of Poteau
died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 in Poteau.
Freida was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Lancaster,
Texas, to Nick Olen and Eddie C.
(Brundage) Worley. She worked in a dry
goods store as a clerk and many years at
City Shoe Market. Freida was preceded in
death by her husband, Idus Baird; great
grandson, Carson Wann; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy
and Jim Wann of Poteau; grandchildren, Roger and Dawn
Wann of Lindsey, Texas, Danny and Elizabeth Wann of
Poteau; great-grandchildren, Nathan Privett, Britney
Wann, Sabrina Wann-Minor, Nick Wann, Jace Wann,
Logan Wann, Faith Wann and Gauge Wann.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at First
Baptist Church in Monroe with the Rev. Garry Haskins
officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery. Pallbearers
will be Danny Wann, Roger Wann, Kirk Smith, Donald
Smith, Nathan Privett, Jace Wann, Nick Wann and Logan
Wann. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the church.
The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from
6-7 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
