PANAMA â€” The Panama Lady Razorbacks avenged an earlier loss to the Bokoshe Lady Tigers on Friday night, but it didn't come easy. Thanks to a second-half spurt, the Lady â€™Backs downed the Lady Tigers 46-38.
Trailing 23-22 in the third quarter, the Lady Razorbacks ended the game with a 23-16 run to get the comeback victory.
Howe 68, Wister 45: In Howe, the Lady Lions roared out to a 19-8 lead after a period to take control of the game.
Talihina 46, Pocola 38: In Talihina, the Lady Golden Tigers jumped to a 21-6 lead after a period, thanks to a 9-for-14 shooting performance from the field.
However, the Lady Indians would not go away, outscoring Talihina â€” which suffered through a 1-for-8 shooting performance in the second quarter â€” over the final three periods by a count of 32-25, but the first-quarter deficit was too much to overcome.
Muldrow 41, Spiro 39: In Spiro, trailing 19-5 after a period, Muldrow outscored Spiro 20-9 to cut the deficit to 28-25 at halftime.
In the second half of the battle of Lady Bulldogs, Muldrow outscored Spiro 16-11 to get the come-from-behind win.
Keota 73, Arkoma 60: In Keota, the Lady Lions broke an 18-all tie at the end of the first quarter by outscoring the Lady Mustangs 17-7 in the second period to take a 35-25 halftime lead.
Keota was the beneficiary of the foul calls as the Lady Mustangs had 27 fouls called on them as opposed to 15 on the Lady Lions â€” who scored 29 of their points from the free-throw line.
McCurtain 37, Cameron 30: In McCurtain, the Lady Bulldogs, who trailed 12-9 after a period, outscored the Lady Yellowjackets 28-18 over the final three quarters to get the come-from-behind victory.
Wilburton 44, Heavener 34: In Wilburton, the Lady Diggers led 11-4 after a period en route to a 23-12 halftime advantage.
The Lady Wolves used a 14-10 third quarter to cut the deficit to 33-26 going into the final period, but Wilburton outscored them 11-8 in the last quarter.
In Saturday's edition, it was incorrectly reported that two Whitesboro girls played their final home regular-season game in Thursday's Senior Night game win over Panola. The Lady Bulldogs have no senior players this season.
