HOWE — It took four extra minutes, but the Wister Wildcats were able to outlast the Howe Lions 51-50 Friday night.
Trailing 31-29 after three periods, the Wildcats outscored the Lions 16-14 in the final quarter to tie the game at 45-all at the end of regulation. In overtime, the ‘Cats outscored the Lions 6-5 to get the win.
Leflore 61, Whitesboro 58, 2 OT: In Leflore, Travis White's 3-point basket with a second left in double overtime lifted the Savages, who had not played since the LeFlore County Tournament.
The Bulldogs used an 11-6 rally in the fourth quarter to get the game tied at 50-all to force overtime.
Talihina 60, Pocola 58: In Taihina, Ethan Sisk's 3-point basket with eight seconds left put the Golden Tigers ahead 60-58.
The Indians had two chances to win the game, but 3-point shots by both Tanner Francis and Lance Standridge both missed the mark — Standridge's as time expired.
Panama 59, Bokoshe 44: In Panama, the Razorbacks raced out to a 17-2 lead and never lost their advantage.
Heavener 36, Wilburton 29: In Wilburton, the Wolves jumped to an 11-7 lead after a period and never trailed after that.
Muldrow 90, Spiro 84, OT: In Spiro, in a battle of Bulldogs, Muldrow outscored Spiro 20-14 in overtime to get the win. The game was tied at 70-all at the end of regulation.
Keota 73, Arkoma 48: In Keota, the Lions clawed their way to a 19-13 lead after a period and slowly increased their advantage from there.
McCurtain 78, Cameron 53: In McCurtain, leading 37-32 at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Yellowjackets 23-6 in the third quarter to take a 60-38 lead into the final period.
