WILBURTON — The Talihina Lady Golden Tigers used a strong defensive second half to down the Wilburton Lady Diggers 59-51 Friday night at the new Wilburton Gym.
Trailing 30-29 at halftime, the Lady Golden Tigers outscored the Lady Diggers 30-21 in the second half to get the come-from-behind win.
Defensively, Talihina held Wilburton's Courtney Medcalf to 14 total points, but kept her scoreless in the final period.
Boys
Talihina 38, Wilburton 22: In Wilburton, the Golden Tigers broke a 14-all halftime tie by outscoring the Diggers 13-2 in the third quarter to take a 27-16 lead into the final period.
Pocola 67, Hartshorne 37: In Hartshorne, the Indians doubled up the Miners 20-10 in the opening period en route to a 32-18 lead at halftime.
