WHITESBORO â€” The Leflore Savages ended their regular season on a high note as they defeated the Whitesboro Bulldogs 65-53 Friday night at the Whitesboro Gym.
The Savages jumped out to a 13-7 lead after one period, but saw the Bulldogs take a 24-21 lead at halftime thanks to a 17-8 second quarter.
However, Leflore took control of the game with 23-6 third period to take a 44-30 lead into the final quarter.
Cameron 66, Arkoma 45: In Cameron, the Yellowjackets only led the Mustangs by a single point at 13-12 after the first eight minutes.
But after that, the â€™Jackets outscored the Mustangs 13-9 in the second period to take a 26-21 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.
In the second half, Cameron put the game away by outscoring Arkoma 40-24 in the second half to win going away.
Howe 70, Bokoshe 10: In Howe, the Lions got off to a big lead against the Tigers as they had a 21-4 advantage after the first eight minutes.
Wister 58, Panama 46: In Panama, the Wildcats had a 15-12 lead after one period, which became 25-20 at halftime.
The â€™Cats then outscored the Razorbacks in the third quarter 15-9 to take a 40-29 advantage into the final period.
Pocola 48, Talihina 46: In Pocola, the Indians took advantage of a rough second and third quarters by the visiting Golden Tigers.
Leading 18-10 after one period, Pocola outscored Talihina 9-4 in the second quarter and 12-6 in the third period to take a 39-20 lead into the final eight minutes.
Muldrow 78, Spiro 61: In Spiro, this battle of Bulldogs went to the visitors from Sequoyah County. Muldrow led 21-16 after one period over Spiro and pretty much kept the local â€™Dogs at bay.
