CAMERON — The Pocola Indians got 2014 off on the right foot as they posted a 73-41 victory over the Cameron Yellowjackets on Friday night at the Cameron Gym.
After the ’Jackets scored the game's first six points, the Indians ended the first quarter with a 17-2 run to take a 17-8 lead into the second period.
In the second quarter, Pocola outscored Cameron 19-4 to take a 36-12 halftime lead.
Arkoma 47, Porum 38: In Porum, the Mustangs jumped out to an 11-5 lead after one period. While the Panthers kept the game close throughout, Arkoma never lost the lead.
Broken Bow 43, Talihina 36: In Broken Bow, the Savages trailed 21-19 at halftime, but outscored the Golden Tigers 13-4 in the third period to take a 32-25 lead into the final quarter.
Red Oak 52, Wister 32: In Red Oak, the Eagles broke an 8-all tie at the end of the opening period by outscoring the Wildcats 13-11 in the second quarter for a 21-19 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, Red Oak outscored Wister 14-2 in the period to take a 35-21 lead into the final quarter.
