WISTER â€” The Howe Lions used a strong second quarter to break open a close game to earn a 53-35 road win over the Wister Wildcats on Friday night at the Wister Gym.
The Lions, trailing 7-6 after a period, outscored the Wildcats 18-6 in the second quarter to take a 24-17 halftime lead. Then, the Lions outscored the â€™Cats in the second half 29-18 to secure the road victory.
Panama 67, Bokoshe 55: In Panama, the Razorbacks rallied from a 37-29 halftime deficit by outscoring the Tigers in the second half 38-18 to get the come-from-behind victory.
Arkoma 71, Keota 39: In Arkoma, the Mustangs jumped out to a 26-17 lead after a period to take control of the game.
Cameron 58, McCurtain 43: In Cameron, the Yellowjackets jumped out to an 18-11 lead after a quarter en route to a 42-25 halftime advantage.
Leflore 48, Haileyville 44: In Leflore, the Savages jumped out to a 14-8 lead after a period en route to a 25-15 halftime advantage.
The Warriors tried to rally in the second half, outscoring the Savages 29-24 but coming up short.
Pocola 62, Wilburton 59: In Pocola, the Indians, trailing 15-8 after a period, outscored the Diggers 18-10 in the second quarter to take a 26-25 halftime lead. Then, Pocola outscored Wilburton 36-34 in the second half to preserve the win.
Spiro 60, Sallisaw 37: In Spiro, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 19-7 lead after a period and never looked back.
Whitesboro 78, Battiest 32: In Whitesboro, the Bulldogs clawed their way to a 19-12 lead after a period, then outscored the Panthers 59-20 the rest of the way to win going away.
Talihina 53, Stigler 31: In Stigler, the Golden Tigers jumped out to an 18-7 lead after a period to take control of the contest.
Hartshorne 75, Heavener 61: In Heavener, the Miners, leading 45-43 after three periods, won going away as they outscored the Wolves in the final period 30-18.
