Gerald Conley “Jerry” Hinton

Gerald Conley “Jerry” Hinton, 81, of
Poteau died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, in
Poteau. Jerry was born July 10, 1930, in
Bokoshe to Oscar and Lula (Richardson)
Hinton. He worked at the Del Monte
cannery. He was a veteran of the U.S.
Air Force. Jerry was preceded in death
by his parents; sisters, Lorene Tabor and
Neva Thomas; and brother, Ben
Hinton.
Survivors include his sister, Leona Alkire of Manteca,
Calif.; sister-in-law, Glenna Hinton of Poteau; numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; many
beloved friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in Evans
Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Phil McGehee
officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bokoshe Cemetery,
Bokoshe. Pallbearers will be David Hinton, Roy Vineyard,
Chris Horton, Kendall Horton, Barry Hughes, Johnny
Bell.
