Glenda M. Sisson

Glenda M. Sisson, 69, of Poteau died Jan. 6, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born April 1, 1943, in Thackerville to O.C. and Mildred (Scivally) Sampson. She was a foster parent, homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert W. Sisson; three brothers, Virgil Sampson, V.J. Sampson and James Sampson; a brother-in-law, Chance West; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Langston; and parents-in-law, Robert and Margie Sisson
Glenda is survived by six sons and spouses, David and Mary Langston of Madill, Russell and Jodie Broussard of Gilmore, Bobby and Jennifer Sisson of Virginia Beach, Va., Brian Sisson of Virginia Beach, Glenn and Cheryl Sisson of Wister, and Cody Shipman and Jessica Whitlow of Oklahoma City; three daughters and spouses, Tammy and Wally Lambert of Oklahoma City, Teresa and Earl Seagraves of Spiro, and Diane and Kevin Yarbrough of Poteau; five sisters and their spouses, Edith Marchbanks of Thackerville, Sharon and Phil Migues of Denton, Texas, Violet and W. M. Gowdy of Amarillo, Texas, Murlene and Jerry Sanders of Poteau, and Elaine and Clifford Midgley of Wister; sister-in-law, Judy Sampson of Thackerville; special grandson Heith Allen Payne; special friend Trisha Hilderbrant; 39 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, with the Rev. P.J. Atkinson officiating. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Glendale. Pallbearers will be David Langston, Russell Broussard, Glenn Sisson, Cody Shipman, Heith Allen Payne, George Midgley and Lance Midgley.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Manor Funeral Home. You may leave an online greeting to the family at www.gracemanorfh.com.
