Geraldyne Hammons, 84, of Wister
died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, in Wister.
Geraldyne was born in Wister on Oct. 15,
1926, to Joe Willis and Carrie (Estes)
Baldwin. She was a homemaker and a
member of Wister First United Methodist
Church. She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband Bill, and infant son
William Michael.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law,
Kathy and David Robertson and Karen and Steve Glinski
of Poteau; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Donna
Hammons of Wister: six grandchildren, Jolene, D.P., Bud,
Karri, Jake and Kaynan; 12 great-grandchildren; other
relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, July 29, at First
United Methodist Church in Wister with The Rev. Will
Langrehr officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery,
Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Sam Walden, Steve Walden, Tommy
Baker, Rusty Baker, D.B. Lampkin, Sam Abbott, and Bill
Baldwin.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United
Methodist Church in Wister or to the Alzheimers
Association.
