Harold Turner

Harold Turner, 86, of Weatherford,
Texas, (formerly of Wister) died Monday,
Sept. 5, 2011, in Weatherford. Harold was
born in Wister on April 5, 1925, to Willis
and Tennie Turner. He managed a lumber
yard. Harold loved to fish and tell stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
wife, Bernice; sisters Billie June Crawley
and Mary Ruth Love; and brothers, Denver
Leeodis and Glen.
Survivors include his son, Chub and
wife, Ginger Turner of Weatherford;
grandchildren, Kandice of Waxahachie,
Texas, Samuel Don of Weatherford,
Kenneth James of Irving, Texas; three
great-grandchildren; sisters and brothersin-
law, Ada Mae and Garland Marshall of
Poteau, Jimmie Gayle and Tom Marshall
of Bethany; other relatives and many
friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday,
Sept. 10, at Evans Chapel of Memories,
Poteau, with The Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
Burial will follow in Heavener
Memorial Park.
