Harrell James Vise

Harrell James Vise, 85, of Spiro died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark. Harrell was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Howe to Vernis and Audrey (Allen) Vise. He worked as street superintendent in Fort Worth, Texas. Harrell was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Spiro. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Buddy.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene of the home; daughters, Lynda Vise Stinson and husband Hank of Josephine, Texas, Carolyn Bentley and husband Danny of Orange, Texas; sons, Kenneth Vise and wife Marilyn of Springtown, Texas, Terry Vise and wife Sharon of Spiro; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Jones of Midwest City; brothers, Cecil of Missouri, Carrell of Garden City, Texas, and Danny of Midwest City; other relatives and loved ones. 
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Spiro with the Revs. Greg Stuckey and Marty Darneal officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers will be Michael Bentley, Danny Bentley, Dustin Langley, Doyle Akers, Randy Fout, Bill Hicks.
The family will visit with relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
