Haskin guilty on all 12 counts; jury suggests 245 years

Jury returns guilty verdict in James Haskin trial.

After three days of trial in the District Court of LeFlore County, a Monroe man accused of child sexual abuse has been rendered a verdict by a jury of his peers.
James Haskin Jr., 61, of Monroe was charged with nine counts of child neglect and three counts of child sexual abuse.
The trial began Wednesday morning and by Friday at 3:30 a jury of seven men and five women found Haskin guilty of all charges.
A suggested sentence given by the jury total 245 years for Haskin. He received 10 years for each count of child neglect and a total of 155 years for the three counts of child sexual abuse.
He will be officially sentenced at a later date.
