He-Man PPK Competition winners crowned last weekend
Last weekend was He-Man Punt, Pass and Kick Competition Weekend at the Jody Ray Sports Complex.The seventh annual Junior He-Man PPK took place Saturday, with six lucky individuals placing. In the L'il He-Man Division for ages 6 to 8, Zayden “Downtown” Dennis won with 57 points and earned $100. Brett “The Hitman” Hoffman was second with 38 points and earned $75. Dallas “Romo” Roberts — this year's Most Improved Athlete winner — came in third with 24 points and pocketed $50. Caston “The Dog Whisperer” Qualls won the Got-a-Man Down Award.In the Junior He-Man Division for ages 9 to 12, my son, Jacques “Aaron Rodgers” Adams won with 65 points and pocketed $100. Colton “The Saw” Crenshaw was runner-up with 43 points and pocketed $75. Camryn “Witten” Wickware was third with 41 points and earned $50. J.D. “Butkus” Bickford was named the Most Improved Athlete, while Jon Jon “Risky Business” Marquez won the Got-a-Man Down Award.On Sunday, the 20th annual He-Man PPK took place. Joey “Killer” Clary took home first place with 54 points and won $500. Justin “Bad, Bad Leroy” Brown was second with 50 points and won $230. Heavener coach Russ McDonald, this year's Most Improved Athlete, placed third with 40 points and won $140. Teddy “Earrings” Clary won the Got-A-Man Down Award.
