Heavener boys win powerlifting regional title last weekend; several Wolves, Panana Razorbacks heading to state

HARTSHORNE — The Heavener Wolves powerlifting team won the Class 3A Regional Meet last weekend, and in the process sent several members to Friday's state meet in McLoud.
Two Wolves, Joey Ibarra (198 pounds) and Justin Page (242), were regional champions. Isaiah Rodriguez was regional runner-up at 198 pounds, while Justice Caldwell was fifth at 275 pounds. All four Wolves will represent Heavener at the Class 3A State Meet on Friday.
In the Class 2A Regional Meet here last weekend, three Panama Razorbacks medaled and six total members qualified for Saturday's state meet in McLoud.
Ryan Farrar was the regional heavyweight champion, while teammate Bobby Lotchleas was fourth in that division. Dakota Fout was fifth at 168 pounds.
Joining those three at state will be Trey Byrd (145 pounds), Gabe Harp (181) and Nakita Bershirs (220).
