Heavener girls fourth, Whitesboro girls tie for fifth at Battiest Tournament; Howe Lady Lions suffer losses to Boswell, Fort Towson

BATTIEST — The Heavener Lady Wolves softball team came in fourth at the Battiest Tournament, which took place Thursday through Saturday.
Heavener lost in the consolation semifinal 11-2 to Broken Bow on Saturday after beating Smithville 10-3. On Friday, Heavener split its two games, beating Fort Towson 5-3 before losing 8-6 to Hugo.
The Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs tied for fifth, after losing both games on Saturday, 14-6 to Broken Bow and 7-6 to host Battiest. Whitesboro won its opener on Thursday, 13-3 over Wright City, then won its winner’s bracket quarterfinal 12-11 over Eagletown on Friday to make it to the semifinals.
The Howe Lady Lions went 0-2, losing 3-2 to Boswell on Thursday and falling to Fort Towson on Friday.
