TALIHINA — The Heavener Lady Bulldogs essentially beat three opponents Tuesday afternoon — the homestanding Talihina Lady Golden Tigers, the Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs and Mother Nature. The Lady Wolves were able to get their games in Tuesday's three-way played before rain washed out the Whitesboro-Talihina game. Heavener beat Talihina 7-4, then defeated Whitesboro 28-6.
In the win over Talihina, the Lady Wolves broke a 2-2 tie with two runs in the third inning and a run in the fourth inning to take a 5-2 lead.
In the win over Whitesboro, the Lady Wolves jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the Lady Bulldogs came to the plate.
The final game of Tuesday's three-way with Whitesboro and Talihina was rained out, with no make-up date scheduled at this time.
Editor's Note — Tuesday's rain washed out Panama's home three-way with Wister and Red Oak as well as Leflore's home game with Panola, while Spiro's game at Roland had already been canceled. No make-up date has been set for these games.
