Heavener looks to bounce back from season-opening loss with by winning home opener

September 9, 2011

The Heavener Wolves lost their season opener 34-6 to Savanna on the road last week.
Tonight, they will play their first 2011 home football game at Harvey Stadium as they welcome the Sallisaw-Central Tigers to town. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Wolves (0-1) hope the home-field advantage will be just the thing they need.
“We're glad to be home,” Heavener Coach John Thompson. “It's good having the home crowd, and just more people here. We're looking forward to it.”
