Heavener soccer girls lose to Porter Consolidated; Heavener's Fort Gibson home games rescheduled for April 23

PORTER — The Heavener Lady Wolves soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday night, losing its district opener 1-0 to the Porter Consolidated Lady Pirates.
The Wolves did not play since Porter Consolidated does not have a boys team.
The Lady Wolves and Wolves will play today and Friday in the Stilwell Tournament. The girls contest today is at 12:30 p.m., while the boys game today is at 5 p.m. Their opening-round opponents were not known at press time.
The Heavener home games with Fort Gibson originally scheduled for April 5 at Harvey Stadium have been moved to April 23, with the girls game at 5 p.m. and the boys contest at 7 p.m. Going into tonight's games at Poteau, the Tigers are No. 1 in Class 4A and the Lady Tigers No. 3 in the state.
