Helen L. Moore

Helen L. Moore, 99, of Poteau died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, in Poteau.
Helen was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Coalgate to John and Elizabeth (Fisher) Wood. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Poteau. She and Troy James Moore were married Aug. 25, 1933, in Talihina. She was preceded in death by Troy Nov. 4, 1982; her parents; daughter, Phyllis Ann Moore; great-granddaughter, Angela; siblings,  Annie May Wood, John Fisher Wood, Margaret G. Wood, William John Wood, Bessie M. Wood, Lillian Mae Wood and George Fisher Wood
Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Kay and Charles Carrell of Wellington, Kan.; five grandchildren, Beth, Janet, Steve, Troy and Sara Kay; nine great-grandchildren, Kadie Elijah, Andrew, Michelle, Leigh Ann, Ginger, Jonathan, Katie and Caleb; three great-great-grandchildren, Brittney, Marissa and Willa Rose; special friends, Garry and Linda Skinner; other relatives and loved ones. 
Services were held Monday at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with burial in Oakland Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Poteau, or the Poteau Nutrition Center.
