Herman Boyd Hollingsworth

Herman Boyd Hollingsworth, 70, of Poteau died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Herman was born March 20, 1941, in Simms, Texas, to Frank James and Hattie  Mae (Obneskey) Hollingsworth. He was a U.S. Military Publication Officer. He was in the Army Reserves for eight years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lottie Insko, Ethel Malone; and brother, J.W. Hollingsworth.   
Survivors include his wife, Faye of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Glenda Hollingsworth of Denton, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tim Laurence of Bixby; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Veronica, Luke, David and Bethany; brothers, Loyd Hollingsworth of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and James Hollingsworth of Simms. 
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Community Free Will Baptist Church in Pocola with Rev. Carl Cheshier officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Checotah.
Pallbearers will be John Hendricks, Jerry Scott, Ron Cooper, Danny Browning, Ed Richeson and Michael Jones.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday to visit with relatives and friends.
