BOKOSHE — There is no longer a winless baseball team in LeFlore County. The Arkoma Mustangs got their first win of the season Friday afternoon in an 11-1 road victory over the Bokoshe Tigers.
Arkoma pitcher Seth Key pitched all four innings with seven strikeouts and scattered five hits.
Arkoma jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, then scored three runs in the second inning, five in the third and a single run in the fourth.
Talihina 5, Cameron 4, 8 inn.; Talihina 13, Antlers 0: Friday in Antlers, Logan Hillebrand's solo home run leading off the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the Golden Tigers past the Yellowjackets.
In Talihina's rout of Antlers, Trey Hawkins threw a one-hitter with three strikeouts in four innings as Talihina jumped out to a 7-0 lead after an inning.
Preston 5, Wister 4: Friday in Preston, the Pirates scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a 4-all tie.
The Wildcats tied the game at 4 with a run in the top of the inning as Cody Holzhammer scored on a Preston error.
Cameron 5, Wright City 3; Antlers 6, Cameron 1: Thursday in Antlers, the Yellowjackets got a 10-strikeout performance by pitcher Samuel Humphries in a complete-game victory over the Lumberjax.
In the loss to host Antlers, the Bearcats scored twice in the opening inning en route to a 3-0 lead after three innings. Then, the ’Cats doubled their lead to 6-0 with a three-run fourth inning.
