WISTER — A fast start enabled the Wister Wildcats to down the Heavener Wolves by a score of 12-4 Tuesday afternoon.
A two-run first inning, highlighted by the first of two home runs by Colby Turnipseed, a two-run shot, put the Wildcats, who are playing at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon at Broken Bow, a 2-0 lead.
A four-run second inning, highlighted by Turnipseed's second homer of the game and season, a three-run shot, put the ’Cats ahead 6-0.
Spiro 15, Gore 3: Monday in Spiro, after giving up a first-inning run to the Pirates, the Bulldogs got two runs in their half of the inning for a 2-1 lead.
Then, Tyler Didway's three-run home run highlighted a seven-run second inning for a 9-1 lead. It was his fourth homer this spring.
Then, a five-run third inning, highlighted by Colby Demato's second homer of the season, a two-run shot, put the ’Dogs up 14-1.
Hartshorne 10, Pocola 0: Tuesday in Hartshorne, the Indians were no hit by the Miners' pitcher.
