BATTIEST — It was a very profitable day for the Whitesboro Bulldogs baseball team as they posted a pair of wins in Thursday's three-way, beating the host Battiest Panthers 9-5 and then edging the Smithville Braves 2-1.
Cameron 7, Crowder 6: In Crowder, a two-out, three-run rally in the seventh inning lifted the Yellowjackets past the Demons.
Samuel Humphries' RBI single and Alex Humphries' two-RBI single, each with two outs, in the seventh inning capped the comeback for the ’Jackets.
Cameron 12, Kinta 0: Tuesday in Cameron, Samuel Humphries threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts in the three-inning, complete-game win.
McCurtain 7, Leflore 5: In Leflore, the Bulldogs broke a 4-4 tie with a three-run sixth inning.
Editor's Note — Friday's Whitesboro-Leflore game was canceled due to wet fields, and will likely not be rescheduled since the two teams will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday at Lions Field in the Howe Wood Bat Tournament.
