SEMINOLE — The Poteau Pirates golf team was fifth out of 20 teams at the Seminole Invitational on a chilly, windy Monday at Jimmie Austin Golf Course. The Pirates had a team score of 358.
One Pirates golfer, Cody Shore, medaled as he was sixth with an 81.
Connor Wheat and Jarrett Lowrimore each shot 89s, John Scott Sanders carded a 99 and John Buckles had a 114.
Heavener golfer medalist at Broken Bow
BROKEN BOW — Heavener golfer Jackson Long was 10th-place medalist at Tuesday's Broken Bow Invitational, which took place at Cedar Creek Golf Course. He shot an even 100.
Two other Wolves hit the links. Colt Dunigan shot a 109, while Chance Dunigan carded a 113.
The Poteau Pirates junior varsity also participated. Connor Bandy had the best day with a 104, followed by John Buckles at 114, Brandon Durant at 120 and Tyler Wolf at 138.
