WISTER — The 2012-13 season got off to a good start for the Wister Lady Wildcats as they handled the Leflore Lady Savages 48-14 Friday night at the Wister Gym.
Howe 58, Smithville 27: Friday night at Howe, the Lady Lions jumped out to an 11-4 lead, but had the deficit cut to 23-18 at halftime.
However, Howe outscored Smithville 18-7 in the third quarter to take a 41-25 lead into the final period.
Whitesboro 46, Battiest 12: Thursday night at Battiest, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 14-0 lead after one period and never looked back.
Red Oak 79, Leflore 15: Thursday night at Red Oak's C.C. Gillespie Fieldhouse, the Lady Eagles jumped out to a 28-4 lead after one period to take control of the season opener for both teams.
