August 16, 2012

HEAVENER — A three-run third inning and the pitching of Kaylee Cox, plus withstanding a late Heavener rally, was enough for the Spiro Lady Bulldogs to edge the Lady Wolves 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
Panama 4, Stigler 3: In Panama, Kali Crase's seventh-inning RBI single capped a rally from being down 3-0 to get her team's seventh win of the season.
Broken Bow 12, Talihina 1: In Broken Bow, the Lady Golden Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead on an RBI double by Amber Robinson in the opening inning.
However, the Lady Savages scored twice in the first and 10 runs in the second inning to take control of the game.
Smithville 6, Whitesboro 1: In Smithville, the Lady Braves broke a 1-1 tie with a three-run fifth inning and a two-run sixth inning.
Heavener 18, Gans 1; Smithville 4, Heavener 3: Monday in Heavener, the Lady Wolves split their home three-way to get the week going.
Editor's Note — Nothing was reported by press time on Wister's game with Red Oak. Also, look for a Robbers Cave Shootout Story in Friday's edition.
