Hogs shine in three-way scrimmage with Sallisaw-Central, Canadian

September 2, 2013

SALLISAW — The Panama Razorbacks will enter the 2013 season this week in about as good a way, and feeling about themselves, as possible after a strong outing in Friday night's three-way scrimmage with the host Sallisaw-Central Tigers and the Canadian Cougars.
The scrimmage began with the second-string Hogs going against the Tigers' No. 2s and the first-teamers of the Cougars. Panama scored once in that portion of the scrimmage as Ryan Shirey took it to paydirt on a 60-yard run against the Tigers.
“That [portion] of the scrimmage gave our younger guys some playing time,” Panama coach Brandon Ellis said.
