Holdenville defeats Weatherford

One big inning was all it took for the Holdenville Outlaws to advance in the 2011 OK Kids Midget State Tournament Tuesday night at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex.
The Outlaws broke a 2-2 tie with a three-run sixth inning to record a 5-2 victory over the Weatherford Red.
The Outlaws (47-6) will play the Tushka Tigers at 6 p.m. tonight.
The Red (40-7) will play an elimination game at 2 p.m. this afternoon against the tournament-host Poteau Pirates.
