The trio of Kale Holton, Jonathan Burgess and Kevin Traywick won Saturday's Spring 3-Person Scramble Saturday afternoon at Choctaw Country Club. They had a team score of 58.
Also having a 58 was the trio of Bobby Pickle, Tim Painter and Kody Whitehead. On a scorecard playoff, however, the top spot was given to Holton, Burgess and Traywick, but both teams were awarded $150.
Lyle Whitworth, Randall Wheat and Heath McBeth were third (60).
There was a three-way tie for fifth place at 64 as the trio of Kelly and Jerry Holton along with Jay Hutchison tied Carl Albert State College Women's Basketball Coach Jeff Tadtman, Gary Brown and Jim Waddle as well as the trio of Kenny Pickle, Doug Sanders and Jon Chitwood. On another scorecard playoff, the Holtons and Hutchison got fourth, while Tadtman, Brown and Waddle were fifth and Pickle, Sanders and Chitwood were sixth.
Cornell Reece, along with Jerry and Jake Thompson, came in seventh (66), followed by Billy Terry, Brandon Evans and Bill Martin in eighth (67).
The trio of Ron Killion, Bill Anderson and Gene Skelton was ninth (69).
Since there were only nine teams, monetary payouts of $150 went not only to the top two teams, but the fifth-place team of Kelly and Jerry Holton and Hutchison as well as the eighth-place team of Terry, Evans and Martin.
