Hosts sought for exchange student program

July 10, 2013

ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is seeking local families to host boys and girls between the ages of 15 to 18 from a variety of countries from around the world.
By sharing your home for just a semester or school year, you will be giving an exceptional young person from another country the opportunity of a lifetime — to live with you and your family and experience the language, customs and culture of the USA.
Students come with an enthusiasm to practice their English and experience American culture — They want to experience everything from American food, to sports, shopping and much more. They will also share their own culture with host families. Host families welcome these students, not as a guest, but as a member of their family, giving both the students and families a rich cultural experience.
In addition, students have pocket money for personal expenses and full health, accident and liability insurance. Students are academically selected and host families can choose their student from a wide variety of backgrounds, countries and personal interests.
To become a host family or to find out how to become involved with ASSE, please call Lisa Ries or Rebecca Watson at 1 (800) 473-0696 at the ASSE Southern Regional Office or visit www.host.asse.com to complete our online application.
