Howard Leon LeMaster

Howard Leon LeMaster Sr., 73, of Poteau died Saturday, March 15, 2014, in Poteau. Leon was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Coweta to Howard and Juanita Ethel (Mahaffey) LeMaster. He was a former businessman, police officer and farmer. Leon was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice; and granddaughter, Kayla.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Arlene (Easton) LeMaster of the home; son, Howard Leon LeMaster Jr. (Lee) and Regina of Poteau; daughters, Vicki LeMaster Craig and husband Paul of Brighton, Colo., Terri LeMaster Dershem and husband Tod of Coweta; grandchildren, Heather and Virginia Craig, Daniel and Elizabeth Schulein, Kodee, Kaigan and Ty LeMaster; great-grandchild, Gabriel Andrews; sister, Barbara LeMaster Smedley and husband Coy; mother-in-law, Mildred Lovell Easton; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, with the Rev. Stanley Odom officiating. Evans and Miller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
