Howe boys, Arkoma girls win 2013 Green Valley Conference Tournament

The Howe Lions repeated as Green Valley Conference Tournament champions, beating another group of Lions from Keota 69-39 Saturday night in the title game at the Panama High School Gym.
The Arkoma Lady Mustangs won the girls title after beating the Panama Lady Razorbacks 63-58 Saturday night on the Lady ’Backs floor after knocking off tournament host Bokoshe 69-40 Friday night at Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse in one semifinal. Panama upset Howe 53-50 in the game after the Arkoma-Bokoshe game.
The Cameron Yellowjackets and the Howe Lady Lions won third-place games Saturday in Panama. The ’Jackets defeated Arkoma 74-62, while the Lady Lions beat the Lady Tigers 55-30.
The Keota Lady Lions and the Panama Razorbacks claimed consolation championships Saturday in Panama. The Lady Lions got past Wister 50-36 after each won their consolation semifinal game Friday afternoon at Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse. Keota edged Cameron 48-44, while Wister beat McCurtain 55-35.
The Hogs nipped Wister 40-39 to win the boys consolation title.
