Howe girls lose regional opener to host Wright City; Lady Lions faced elimination Thursday afternoon, today

October 4, 2013

WRIGHT CITY — The Howe Lady Lions softball team found itself in the same position as a week ago, trying to stave off elimination.
The Lady Lions, who had to beat Arkoma twice last week to win the district title, lost their Class A Regional Tournament opener 7-0 to the host Wright City Lady Lumberjax on Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Lions (16-13) played Porum later Thursday, with that winner having to win three times today to make state.
