LUTHER — Two local high school track athletes won championships at the Class 2A Regional Meet, which took place Saturday.
Howe’s Savannah Smallwood won the shot put (35-8) and was regional runner-up in the discus (92-1.5), while Talihina’s Keisha Brown won the long jump (14-9.25).
While Brown will be Talihina’s lone representative at the next weekend’s state meet at Midwest City Carl Albert High School’s Titan Stadium, the Lady Lions will have several state qualifiers performing at state.
